07 Ghost - Ayanami

This is my cosplay for next friday at Connichi: Ayanami from 07 Ghost

She's going to accompany me as Hyuuga on friday, so there is definitely some shooting action ahead!



The decision to cosplay Ayanami was made when I had a look at the uniform. The design is simply amazing! Then I had a look at the cosplayers. I didn't like their method, simply cutting the ornaments of golden leather and glueing them onto the coat. This is a uniform and it should look like one, so I was interested if there weren't a way to do it better.
I went around, searching for uniform materials and I came across some pretty awesome stuff. Unfortunately my chest embroidery isn't fully done yet and won't be until friday, we ran out of material though we bought everything the shop had to offer. I still like it a lot. Very very much. Especially the hat - it's the metaphorical cherry on top!

The only thing I don't like are the belts. I hope I'll find some time to redo them until the convention starts. Can't count on it, though, because my master thesis needs to be finished, too.

I should iron it until then, too XD


I don't know a lot about 07 Ghost. Actually I wouldn't even call it 'knowing', I just had a glimpse of it, but the design just got me. And Ayanami is voiced by Sho Hayami. Every character voiced by him is amazing and has a very high potential of being cosplayed by me. So: another one - check!
