Mary Poppins - A Wonderful Day

New cosplay - Bert, from the wonderful Disney classic Mary Poppins!

I adore this movie. I adore Bert. Dick van Dyke is a wonderful and inspiring actor and I love the idea of Bert - someone who becomes someone else every day, has a new profession every day, someone who is totally free at heart. We don't know exactly who and what he is, but that's the magic of this character.
And he's a good excuse to be goofing around!

This outfit is from the summer day scene in the animated engish countryside. He doesn't have the balloons there, I added them because 1. I think that Bert would be a great balloon seller and 2. because balloons are enchanting things. Remember the movie 'Up'? The flying house is such a beautiful idea. Balloons are like colourful clouds, they're an image of romantic dreams and last but not least, they let you fly - and flying is an important thing when it comes to Mary Poppins.

I was lucky enough to have the wonderful ~Ravenic as Mary by my side. Can a summer day get any better?♥
