There is not much of a summer season on a subtropical island, as if there were not much of time at all. The days fly and the sun only sets to rest for a moment for us to breathe out and lean close to the things that were too far in the blazing time. When you clasp hands with silence and stand still, long enough for the little waves around your legs to get used to your presence, they will wrap like a warm blanket around your heart.
My eyes were always fixed to a different kind of wisdom. But it was when I was freezing in darkness, that I began to wish for this blanket and your timeless light to warm me when I lean close to you at the end of my road.
