This is what I chose to become.
My life has always been a road, and all roads lead somewhere. But now every step just lead me to dissolving, I fell, I fell so deep, I still am falling. Staring down an empty hallway, my steps are hollow as I am myself. I bow to an empty theater, all their silent applause in my head - this is my bravery, this is my heroic act. I gave up myself for something other than myself. This is the first and the last present that I made. A curtain call for myself, a final introduction to everything I will never have. I have left, heavy curtains still billowing in my missing presence. This is where I was, this is where I am not to be seen. Outstretched arms on a dark stage, an empty theater, breathing in. Silent applause for my bravery, all the empty eyes staring down into my darkening soul. I am gone now, my road is broken like my heart. My hands are empty now. I gave you every thing I had to offer - myself.
